Midnight sun, birds and long days.
From spring to autumn, the Far North changes face: the midnight sun lights up summer nights, migrating birds return, the tundra fills with flowers and then berries. Eight days as a small private group, family or friends, with or without children.
It has the same spirit as our winter stays, plus the summer activities: hiking, packrafting, swimming, our organic garden and berry picking.

Spring to autumn activities
We plan the programme with you before you arrive, then adapt it each day to the weather and your wishes.

Two-day hike
A two-day hike in the mountains of Troms, with a night in a tent or back home.

Packrafting
Paddling a river in a packraft, the small inflatable boat you carry on your back: one day or more, with a night in a tent or back home.

Organic garden & foraging
Sandvika, our organic garden, and picking blueberries, lingonberries and cloudberries on our land.

Midnight sun
From late May to late July the sun never sets: endless golden evenings by the fjord.

Returning migrating birds
In spring, migrating birds return to our land and the fjord: a show for young and old.

Senja panorama tour
Two days on the road around Senja, its viewpoints, white sand beaches and fishing villages.

Mountain climbs
Climbing summits suited to your group, with huge views over the fjords and islands.

Lake and fjord fishing
Fishing on a mountain lake or the fjord, then swimming from our 300 metres of shoreline when the weather is fine.

Reindeer herders
Meet one or more local reindeer herders, depending on their availability.

In autumn, from late August, dark nights return and with them the first northern lights, when the sky is clear.
A typical week from spring to autumn
This programme is only an example: every week is built with you, and the order of the days follows the weather, the light and availability. The four high-standard dinners are spread through the week, and good snacks come along on every outing.

Here, children feel at home
We live here with our own little girl: families with young children, even toddlers, are at the heart of Tundra Camp. Everything is ready so they enjoy it as much as the grown-ups.
- In winter: a pulk sled to pull the children on outings, small skis, sledges and lots of snow games.
- In summer: the vegetable garden, a trampoline, a small zip line, the beach and berry picking.
- All year: toys and equipment for toddlers at the house, and a pace adapted to every age.

High-standard dinners and Danish platters
Our four high-standard dinners are cooked by us with organic, local produce: reindeer, moose, cod, saithe, salmon, wild berries and vegetables from Sandvika garden.
Danish-born Dorthe also prepares generous gourmet platters from her home country, including the famous smørbrød, beautifully topped rye-bread open sandwiches.

The same spirit, summer or winter
Whatever the season, every 8-day stay is built on the same foundation, designed for your private group:
