Bivouac & trek: fully self-supported, tent-based trips for those who love effort and challenge: we carry our packs and sleep in tents.

Bivouac & trek · tent-based trips

Pack on your back, self-supported in the Far North.

For those who love effort and challenge: long, fully self-supported mountain hikes, river crossings and nights in a tent far from everything. We carry our packs, sleep in tents and live at the pace of the terrain and the weather.

We provide tents, backpacks and camping gear. You bring your energy, your curiosity and good boots.

Some route ideas

Here are a few examples of where our bivouac & trek trips go. But every project interests us: tell us about yours and we will build it together.

Hjerttind valleys: Gumpedalen and Steinora

At the foot of Hjerttind, the Gumpedalen valley leads to Steinora, a gigantic rockfall with boulders over 15 metres across that fell onto the glacier at the end of the last Ice Age, more than 10,000 years ago. Potholes, rivers and wide wild spaces along the way.

Rabbåsdalen and Lake Steinvatnet

Valleys steeped in the myths of the past and the memory of the reindeer herders who lived there. Many reindeer herds still roam here, along with Arctic predators: lynx, wolverines and golden eagles.

Ånderdalen (Senja)

Ånderdalen National Park on Senja: pine and birch forests, lakes and wild mountains, perfect for several days on foot.

Øvre Dividal

A remote national park near the Swedish border: roadless valleys, rivers to cross, reindeer and wide open spaces.

Altevatn lake

A huge mountain lake in inland Troms, a gateway to the high plateaus and long traverses.

Sarek (Swedish Lapland)

One of Europe’s last great wildernesses: no marked trails, no bridges, glacial valleys and true self-supported adventure.

Your project

A traverse, a summit, a valley you dream of? Every project is interesting: write to us.

Who is it for?

What you should know

These trips require good fitness and experience walking several hours a day with a heavy pack. The terrain is often trackless, rivers are forded and Arctic weather can change fast.

The guide adapts the route to the group and conditions, with safety as the priority. Programme, duration and price are quoted according to your project.
